The coast is only 5 miles away and the choice is quite diverse from the sandy beaches and family-friendly seaside towns of Cromer and Sheringham to the shingle of Salthouse and the marshes attracting birdwatchers at Blakeney and Cley. Nearby attractions include Pensthorpe Wildlife Gardens, Amazona Zoo, The Muckleborough Collection and Langham Glass, ensuring there is something for all ages to enjoy.
Whilst staying in the area we would highly recommend taking one of the boat trips from nearby Morston or Blakeney to see the seals - on some of the tours they land the boat on the sandy stretch for you to get out and explore the area further, and it's a magical experience for all ages. At nearby Thursford, famed for its spectacular Christmas show, there's a collection of steam engines, fairground rides and other memorabilia that's actually open all year round, and you can try a ride on the carousel, make the most of the play park, and there's a selection of shops and café/restaurant for you to enjoy.
