Tucked down a quiet lane, this pretty brick-and-flint cottage offers an idyllic retreat for two in the heart of Holt. Ideally situated so you can pop out for provisions or walk out for an evening meal without needing a car, this charming abode will also entice you to spend time in. Snuggle on the sofa to watch a film, sip a glass of wine in the courtyard garden, and enjoy quality time together.

Decorated in cool, calm tones with splashes of colour, this charming bolthole feels light and airy throughout. The open-plan living and dining room is cosy and inviting with wooden floors, a wooden table and chairs under the window, and a comfortable sofa – ideal for sinking in after a country walk. The compact galley kitchen is well equipped for rustling up meals for two if you fancy a night in, or enjoy a sundowner on the wooden arbour outside before wandering out for dinner. When it’s time to rest your head, climb upstairs to the double bedroom for a rejuvenating night’s sleep, before a refreshing morning shower leaves you ready for another day of adventures.

Holt is a magical base for a Norfolk escape. This pretty Georgian town is bursting with independent boutiques, antiques shops, galleries and eateries, and is especially pretty at Christmas when adorned with fairy lights. Holt Country Park is brilliant for walkers, or hop on the Poppy Line Railway, a heritage steam train that runs to Sheringham (7 miles), a traditional seaside resort with great seafood and a lovely beach. The National Trust property, Felbrigg Hall, is just 9 miles away, while nature lovers can head to Cley Marshes reserve (4.5 miles).

A cosy cottage, perfect for two, right in the middle of Holt with a terrific range of independent businesses. You could easily go car-free staying here as we only used ours one day out of six, travelling round on the local buses instead.

Artisan is a lovely cottage - one of the best we have stayed in. It is in an ideal location, being so close to the centre of Holt and yet very quiet. It is beautifully kept and very well equipped. As other guests have commented, the parking is fairly tight, but works providing everyone is considerate. We managed and we drive a large estate car!

A compact and cosy cottage, perfect for one person or a couple. The location is ideal, being tucked away in a quiet area just a few minutes' walk from the centre of Holt and with a supermarket also very close. It is a good base for visiting National Trust properties at Felbrigg and Blickling, as well as Holkham Hall and the Norfolk coast.

The cottage is tucked away down a small lane so appears quiet and remote. However it is only a few minutes walk from Holt town centre. We found the cottage clean, comfortable and charming.

Parking was a major issue for us. The parking space allocated to the cottage was too small for our car. Its difficult to reverse down the small side road as there's nowhere to turn round. Cottage itself was clean and bed was comfy.

Artisan cottage was very comfortable and quiet, lovely having the little courtyard, garden to sit out. With shops in a two minute walk there is no need to worry about things you may have left at home. Bus services to all areas , and the steam train, no real need for the car. Slow down and relax.

The cottage is comfortable and well equipped. It is very conveniently situated in Holt for all amenities especially Budgens supermarket. It is well placed for touring North Norfolk. Elderly visitors should be aware there are no toilet facilities on the ground floor.

Parking increasingly tricky for 3 cars to manoeuvre in and out ( cars bigger these days) . Suggest change to 2 places and 3rd goes behind cottages where there is plenty space.

Carpenter's Cottage nr 7 is a beautiful house suited for two. I loved having the secluded shared courtyard outside the front door. The neighbours lent us their chairs when we had friends over for tea, and we had a nice chat with the guests on the other side of us. The supermarket couldn't be closer and the town is picturesque. Great location, a short walk from Budgens and the centre of Holt. Pretty cottage which was well equipped. Good WiFi as had to take a number of Zoom calls during stay. Bathroom and kitchen both of high spec. Slightly hidden away and instructions could have been better to locate in first place but afterwards not a problem.
