Tucked down a quiet lane, this pretty brick-and-flint cottage offers an idyllic retreat for two in the heart of Holt. Ideally situated so you can pop out for provisions or walk out for an evening meal without needing a car, this charming abode will also entice you to spend time in. Snuggle on the sofa to watch a film, sip a glass of wine in the courtyard garden, and enjoy quality time together.

Decorated in cool, calm tones with splashes of colour, this charming bolthole feels light and airy throughout. The open-plan living and dining room is cosy and inviting with wooden floors, a wooden table and chairs under the window, and a comfortable sofa – ideal for sinking in after a country walk. The compact galley kitchen is well equipped for rustling up meals for two if you fancy a night in, or enjoy a sundowner on the wooden arbour outside before wandering out for dinner. When it’s time to rest your head, climb upstairs to the double bedroom for a rejuvenating night’s sleep, before a refreshing morning shower leaves you ready for another day of adventures.

A clean, comfortable cottage located very handy for the High Street and all the little alleyways off. Budgens supermarket within a few minutes walk, so no need to use a car. Parking for the cottage good but bring a small car! Convenient for trips to Holt Park, Sheringham Park, Blakeney, Cley and lots more. Baconsthorpe Castle ruins worth a visit Read more(no facilities). Great cottage , well appointed and comfortable. Brilliant location. We really appreciated the seasonal decorations and gifts . Only let down was the food remnants left in the grill pan and saucepan from previous visitors and the interior of the microwave was very greasy .

The cottage is small but very attractive, really well equipped and up to date. It was great having an area where you could sit outside and have a drink/meal too occasionally, as the weather was very good. The location is brilliant as you can walk everywhere. We would definitely stay again.

We had a lovely break. due to hot weather warnings we went walking next to the sea where the cooler breeze made it afew degrees cooler. there are many beaches only afew miles away. We enjoyed Holt country park and also shopping in Appleyard.

Having stayed here several times we were surprised to find it had not been set up for us after previous guests. However a phone call resulted in prompt action to sort this. Huge thanks to Jo.

A cosy cottage, perfect for two, right in the middle of Holt with a terrific range of independent businesses. You could easily go car-free staying here as we only used ours one day out of six, travelling round on the local buses instead.

Artisan is a lovely cottage - one of the best we have stayed in. It is in an ideal location, being so close to the centre of Holt and yet very quiet. It is beautifully kept and very well equipped. As other guests have commented, the parking is fairly tight, but works providing everyone is considerate. We managed and we drive a large estate car!

A compact and cosy cottage, perfect for one person or a couple. The location is ideal, being tucked away in a quiet area just a few minutes' walk from the centre of Holt and with a supermarket also very close. It is a good base for visiting National Trust properties at Felbrigg and Blickling, as well as Holkham Hall and the Norfolk coast.

Parking was a major issue for us. The parking space allocated to the cottage was too small for our car. Its difficult to reverse down the small side road as there's nowhere to turn round. Cottage itself was clean and bed was comfy.
