This lovely two-storey property is located in the rural market town of Holt and is perfect for couples looking for a romantic escape. Holt has plenty of attractions, including the splendid North Norfolk Railway (1.5 miles), which offers a choice of a diesel or steam train adventure to the market towns of Weybourne and Sheringham. Holt has plenty of history to discover, and the Holt Owl Trail leads you, among other hidden gems, to a 13th-century church.

This is a characterful cottage that retains its original charm with exposed brickwork fireplaces and blends this with stylish decor to create a wonderful, homely feel. With fresh, bright interiors and comfortable, contemporary furnishings, you can begin to relax as soon as you walk through the door. The open-plan layout is delightfully presented with a compact kitchen with all you need to prepare romantic dinners and a cosy sitting area to snuggle up in front of the wood burner on chilly evenings while watching your favourite box set on the Smart TV. An open steel and oak staircase leads to the king-size bedroom and a shower room completes this lovely couples’ retreat. Outside is a private courtyard with bistro furniture, ideal for a morning cuppa or evening sundowner.

There are plenty of nearby activities, so whether you like walking, cycling, water sports, surfing, fishing or golf, this part of Norfolk has got you covered. Explore the Deep History Coast Trail, which runs 36 miles from Weybourne (4 miles) to Cart Gap and stop at Cromer (10.5 miles) with its lovely beach along the way and try crabbing. The coastal villages of Blakeney for seal trips and Cley for bird watching are just five miles away, and Pensthorpe Nature Reserve is twelve miles. History buffs will love spending a day discovering Holkham Hall (14.5 miles).

Amazing cottage which we have stayed in numerous times over the years. It's played a huge part over the years to relocate to Holt Norfolk from Nantwich in Cheshire. This final stay in the cottage for a couple of nights as we completed on our house purchase was very special due to the cottage being such a special part of the journey over the years. Anyone visiting North Norfolk should use this cottage as the perfect base for enjoying such a lovely dreamy little market town so close to the coast. Hide
