East Runton is a small village and a popular holiday destination on the North Norfolk coast – with stunning cliff-top views out to the North Sea and a long sandy beach it is easy to see why many people choose this destination for their Norfolk holidays. There is a short slope down to the beach from the cliff-top car park – this easy access makes it very popular with surfers and canoeists, plus the waves here always seem to be bigger than further along the coast.

Tides permitting, you can walk along the beach through West Runton and onto the delightful seaside town of Sheringham, although we would highly recommend taking the cliff-top route, as it takes you over Beeston Bump with spectacular views, and past Beeston Regis nature trail.

Within East Runton, you will find a variety of shops, two pubs, a nine-hole golf course, and two greens in the village. The larger towns of Sheringham and Cromer are just a little further along the coast road – here, you will find a selection of independent shops, a leisure centre, a cinema, museums, amusement arcades, a zoo, plus a delightful traditional pier with a  theatre showing a variety of performances throughout the year.
