Self-catering holiday accommodation in Ranworth

Ranworth is the perfect place for a self-catering holiday cottage break in the Norfolk Broads. A Broadland village, it is situated on the Malthouse Broad and near to the River Bure. The village is also close to Ranworth Broad which is a nature reserve that has been sealed off to watercraft. If you love boating, Malthouse Broad is the place: all styles of craft can be found meandering its waterways. Look out for the spectre of a 12th-century monk who has been spotted rowing his coracle in the early morning mists – ghost hunters be alert.  Ranworth’s most remarkable architectural feature is its church which is known as the Cathedral of the Broads. Historians and church baggers will love the rood-screen and some of the carvings that adorn the chancel and pews.

Those that wish to holiday at one of the most picturesque villages in the Broads, Ranworth is a superb prospect. There are nature reserves and country walks all around and it’s great for families large and small, and for visitors young and old. Visit our selection of wonderful holiday cottages and read our guides to find out even more about Norfolk and the Norfolk Broads.
