Self-catering holiday accommodation in Ranworth
Ranworth is the perfect place for a self-catering holiday cottage break in the Norfolk Broads. A Broadland village, it is situated on the Malthouse Broad and near to the River Bure. The village is also close to Ranworth Broad which is a nature reserve that has been sealed off to watercraft. If you love boating, Malthouse Broad is the place: all styles of craft can be found meandering its waterways. Look out for the spectre of a 12th-century monk who has been spotted rowing his coracle in the early morning mists – ghost hunters be alert. Ranworth’s most remarkable architectural feature is its church which is known as the Cathedral of the Broads. Historians and church baggers will love the rood-screen and some of the carvings that adorn the chancel and pews.
Those that wish to holiday at one of the most picturesque villages in the Broads, Ranworth is a superb prospect. There are nature reserves and country walks all around and it’s great for families large and small, and for visitors young and old.
