This attractive bolthole is in the boating village of Brundall, on the edge of the Norfolk Broads. The property sleeps two guests and makes a great base for a couple or two friends holidaying together. Take relaxing strolls from your front door along the River Yare, explore the sandy beaches of Norfolk’s east coast (15 miles), or enjoy a day of retail therapy in the historic city of Norwich (8 miles). In the evenings, sip a sundowner on the patio in the peaceful garden.

The stylish annexe sits within the grounds of the owner’s home. The accommodation is arranged across one level and the main living space is a bright, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. In one corner you’ll find a cute kitchen area, with all the equipment needed to rustle up tasty dishes for two to share at the dining table or outside on the patio. At night, sink into one of the sumptuous armchairs to watch TV or read a book. The property has a pretty, twin bedroom with an en-suite shower room. Outside, the enclosed garden has a patio area for al fresco dining (including a covered area so you can enjoy some fresh air whatever the weather), and a small lawn that’s ideal for four-pawed guests.

Brundall is a picturesque, waterside village with numerous walking trails to explore along the River Yare and through the surrounding countryside. There are also several boat hire companies nearby, allowing you to get out on the water. Just outside the village is the wildlife haven of RSPB Strumpshaw Fen – the perfect place to get away from it all and embrace nature. A comfortable cottage. This was our 2nd time there. We had fantastic weather which meant we could get out and about and enjoy sitting in the private garden. Lee and Sophie (the owners) are very friendly and helpful. Im sure we'll be back at some point.

We had such a lovely weekend staying here. The surrounding area is absolutely gorgeous. One of the biggest highlights for me was how dog friendly everything was here; the fully enclosed garden meant I could properly relax knowing my dogs were safe, which makes such a difference (One is a Jack Russell and if you know.. you know). It was also sucRead moreh a thoughtful touch to have extra towels provided for the dogs, especially after one of mine decided a stream swim was a great idea and needed a full rinse after (The Jack...of course). The cottage itself was warm, cosy and really comfortable, exactly what you want after a day out exploring. And the flapjack left as a welcome gift was such a kind touch and very much appreciated after a long journey. Can't wait to come back! Overall, a really wonderful stay and I would happily come back again. Hide

Lackford cottage is cozy and comfortable and Sophie and Lee are very welcoming and helpful. We enjoyed our week there. The weather was fantastic for late September, early October so we were able to get out and about. It's also lovely sitting outside the cottage in the garden.

Recommend visiting this property, safe garden for dog, off road parking, clean. The patio cover is great idea for shelter from rain (we had a fair bit). Lovely cafe in marina which has a menu for your dog, fantastic idea. Didn't get to eat out, chippy closed. But COOP was good priced. Comfy beds!!! Nice bottle of wine and flapjacks definitely needeRead mored after a rough journey. Central location for Norwich and Great Yarmouth. Strumpshaw steam museum was enjoyable visit. Hide

The cottage was very clean and bright. The pretty enclosed garden was wonderful for Milo. This was his first holiday away. We found the Leg of Mutton excellent , we loved that we could take Milo in with us. Would highly recommend. Thank you for the treats, and making us so welcome.

Last visit was in the winter so a summer visit meant we could use the garden to its full. Secure for the dogs so we could sit back and relax. Super base for visiting Norwich, the Broads and the coast. Planning our next stay already.
