Nearby you can stroll to the River Bure (0.5 miles) to observe kingfishers, herons and other wildlife, while at nearby Acle (2.5 miles) and South Walsham (2 miles) you can hire boats to discover the Upton Broads and Marshes by water. For an adventure-packed day out, head to the lively Broadland village of Wroxham and hire a day cruiser or, if you fancy discovering the area by rail, take a scenic journey on the Bure Valley Railway. Keen for a day by the coast? Caister-on-Sea (9 miles) is a large seaside village with unspoilt beaches whereas the larger resort of Great Yarmouth (11 miles) adds amusement parks, a model village and an aquarium to its list of attractions.
