Just on the outskirts of the village there is a leisure centre with swimming pool and gym. If you head a few miles inland you will discover the market town of Holt, with its fantastic range of shops, pubs and cafés – plus the Norfolk Cottages office – so do call in to say hello.
There are a number of great places to eat in the area; here are just a few we would recommend – The Roman Camp at Aylmerton, The Hunny Bell at Hunworth and The Wiveton Bell at Wiveton all guaranteed to serve excellent meals using fresh local ingredients.
The coastal seaside resort of Sheringham is two miles away with a beach, golf course, little theatre and the North Norfolk steam railway (Poppy Line) which runs along the coastline via Weybourne to Holt. Alternatively from Sheringham, catch the Norwich train to Cromer for end of pier entertainment, a cinema, amusement arcades, seaside shops and museums.
Other attractions located locally include Felbrigg and Blickling Hall, Sheringham Park and the Muckleborough Military collection.
