Whisk away your small family or the other half to this charming traditional cottage built in 1871 on the edge of the Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty for a tranquil holiday filled with strolls along the coastal path, lazy beach days and trips to quaint English towns with tearooms and markets. Spend quality time with your loved ones in the bright and comfortable garden room or snuggle up in front of the wood burner in the lounge.

Step inside to find a U-shaped farmhouse-style kitchen with warm neutral tones and plenty of surface space to prepare a hearty home-cooked meal. Gather in the sunroom with soft seating at the dining table with chairs, and tuck in while admiring the garden views. Continue into the lounge with a wooden beamed ceiling, a wood burner and two plump sofas. Also on the ground floor is a convenient utility room plus a separate WC. Climb the stairs to reach a family bathroom plus two bedrooms – a double and twin room. Outside is an enclosed garden, with furniture on the patio area which is surrounded by mature shrubs and trees, plus a shed for storing bikes and a BBQ.

During your stay in the small village of Bodham, you’ll have a garden centre and a local pub, plus a fishing pond within 1 mile. Explore the 1,000-acre grounds of National Trust Sheringham Park (1 mile) which is filled with rhododendrons and azaleas. Venture into the Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty to discover Weybourne Beach (3 miles), the wildlife-rich Salthouse Marshes (5 miles) and the North Norfolk Coast Path starting at Cley next the Sea (6 miles) and finishing in Blakeney (7.5 miles). Lovely cottage with quality furnishings. Disappointing level of cleanliness. Bistro set in garden hadnt been cleaned in months. BBQ dirty and not usable despite instructions in book saying do not clean or empty ashes as cleaners do it. Old food in cupboards and freezer. Some utensils etc dirty. Couldnt put rubbish / recycling in bins as all full upRead more and difficult to put out as behind gate and large bush in front. Welcome pack scant and no better than hotel room. Would probably book with owners direct in future. Hide
