Visiting Cromer 

In and amongst Cromer’s lengthy list of seaside activities is crabbing, which novices and experts can turn their hand at trying along the pier. Although we highly advocate you don’t hurt the creatures and return them to sea, if you do want to try Cromer’s famous crab, leave it to the professionals and visit any of the town’s excellent fish bars or restaurants to try the world-famous delicacy.

We would also highly recommend you climb the magnificent church, the tallest in Norfolk and a mere 160 steps to the top, but worth everything for the breath-taking views you will experience across Cromer and out to sea. 

Also whilst staying in Cromer be sure to visit Amazona Zoo which is home to over 200 animals, here you can get up close to jaguars, monkeys, snakes, flamingos plus much more, also at the zoo they have recently opened “Jungle Tumbles” which is a spacious indoor soft play area for the under 12s and is open all year round – perfect for letting the little ones loose in, to burn off some of that extra energy! 

Why not also make the most of excellent walking opportunities on your doorstep choose from, The Weavers Way, a 56 mile route that heads east to Great Yarmouth or the Norfolk Coastal path, a total of 45 miles heading towards Hunstanton, plus on this route you are able to walk as far as you want - then simply catch the Coastal Hopper bus, to return back.
