A breezy fisherman’s cottage set in a leafy corner of Cromer on the glistening North Norfolk Coast. This charming retreat is perfect for a couple or young family seeking a seaside getaway with their faithful companions. Slip into wetsuits and attempt to tackle the foaming swells crashing ashore Cromer Beach (700 metres) or cheer on from the sandy sidelines, then delve into an al fresco lunch on the secluded patio.

This well-presented property features an airy coastal interior with clean lines, sea blue tones, and calming nautical artwork. Slip off sandals at the door then potter in the bright shaker kitchen as you rustle up a dinner spread of locally sourced seafood. Top off glasses with your favourite tipple then delve into a celebratory meal gathered around the wooden dining table. Retire into the lounge and sink onto the squishy sofas with a brew while your pups snooze on the rug. Get competitive with a family games night or snuggle up with a film on the TV. There is also a handy utility room for sprucing up any sandy outdoor gear. As night falls, ascend the stairs and slip into the soft sheets of a sunny double with a wrought iron bed frame and a cosy single room for the little one. Bask in the balmy Norfolk climate as you recline in the lush courtyard garden with a frothy coffee.

Scoff a soft scoop ice cream and watch the waves lapping below as you saunter along Cromer Pier (500 metres) then gear up for an afternoon of crabbing. Follow the scent of fresh bakes then settle in for a spot of afternoon tea in one of the welcoming cafes peppering the high street (300 metres) or stroll the golden shoreline of West Runton Beach (1.5 miles).

  • 2 bedrooms – 1 double and 1 single, with bed suitable for a child only (2’6” wide and 5'6" in length)
  • 1 family shower room with shower cubicle and WC
  • Electric cooker, fridge and microwave
  • Washing machine and tumble dryer
  • TV, DVD player and CD player
  • Courtyard garden
  • Parking on the road subject to availability or in pay and display car parks, one within 100 metres, with weekly season tickets available

You often see a cottage or hotel online, looking so clean and perfect, only to be slightly disappointed by reality. In the case of this great little cottage, it was as clean and perfect as I imagined. Also the location was amazing for shops and basically everything in Cromer. So much thought has gone into providing everything you will need, by the Read moreowner and the cleanliness was outstanding to be honest. The neighbours were also very friendly and welcoming. Im so glad we chose Cromer and Horseshoe cottage. Hide

Lovely clean cottage in a great location for all amenities. Bathroom very small, but clean and modern with a good shower. Stairs may not be suitable for some people, as quite steep and winding. Loved the downstairs layout with patio doors leading from the lounge to the garden. Great for the dog or just to have open on a nice day.

Great cottage - highly recommend. Very clean and comfortable. Perfect location. One tip - my mum and I didn't realise that the single bed is only suitable for people under 5ft. So my mum very kindly gave me the large room and luckily because she is only 5ft 1, she managed to sleep in it ok-enough. Also don't make the mistake I did and get anythiRead moreng sent to the cottage. There is no letter box and mail goes to a locked mailbox. I had to disturb the owner unfortunately, who very kindly did help out. Hide

Lovely cottage in a fantastic location for everything. Short walk to beach, bus station, train station and town centre and right beside a Morrisons for stocking up on those essentials. Would highly recommend for those visiting Cromer and the surrounding area.
