Another stunning and award-winning sandy beach close by is the famous Holkham, which has often been featured in music videos and films. Not only do you have the wonderful beach at Holkham, you can also spend a day exploring the Holkham estate with its deer park, impressive hall, woodland play area and peaceful lake.

Just 5 miles away you have the coastal areas of Stiffkey and Blakeney, both great for walking, and the latter of the two is where you can take a boat trip out to sea to see the seals.

Nearby Holt is a great place for some retail therapy with a great selection of independent shops, galleries, and large selection of cafes. You will also find a number of excellent traditional pubs and restaurants in the area serving home-cooked locally sourced food, including Morston Hall in Morston which is one of only two Michelin-starred restaurants in Norfolk.

Further along the coast, you have Cley which is home to the Norfolk Wildlife Trust's oldest Nature Reserve, great for birdwatching - even if you are not an expert you will find something of interest, plus they have an eco-friendly visitor centre, café, shop, and fantastic viewing areas overlooking the marsh.
