Light, bright and full of charm, this cottage is located just outside of the market town of Fakenham ensuring easy access to a wide range of amenities, including the local weekly market, a selection of eateries and its famous racecourse. Each day you’ll love returning to your home from home for a spot of al fresco dining on the patio or to get cosy in the summer house with a good book in hand.

Upon arrival, make straight for the living room and you’ll feel instantly relaxed. Decorated in a neutral colour palette with quirky pieces of furniture which add character to the space as well as a feature fireplace, you’ll feel instantly at home. Adjoining the room is a quaint office area, perfect for those looking for a quiet spot to start their literary tales. Next door, the kitchen is modern with all-white gloss cabinets and a beautiful view of the garden out of the window with a grand solid wood dining table for mealtimes. All three bedrooms can be found on the first floor, featuring a tasteful double bedroom, a peaceful twin and a pretty single room, well-suited to children. Outside, the patio garden is furnished with a table and chairs with complete privacy. In addition, the summer house has a day bed and an armchair where you can hide away and enjoy peace and quiet.

Make for the coast and you’ll find a wealth of adventures with Holkham, Wells-next-the-Sea and Brancaster all within 18 miles. At Blakeney Point (14 miles) you can hop aboard a boat and head off out on a wildlife spotting extravaganza where you might get to spot the local colony of seas alongside an array of seabirds. Or, head off for an invigorating walk along the Norfolk Coast Path and you’ll be in awe of the majestic sights, flora, fauna and wildlife.

The cottage is much bigger than it looks from the outside, well equipped kitchen and nice day room.Lovely location for exploring North Norfolk, ,dog walks room the cottage a bonus and a pretty farden to relax in

We had a wonderful week long stay. The cottage is beautiful and well maintained and perfectly situated just walking distant to local shops. The kitchen is amazing, it has everything I needed and more. The day room offers a relaxing nook to escape into books or music. Enjoyed catching the dramatic dawn across the pond with its paddling resident duckRead mores. The host very kindly provided us with an extra fan to keep us cool while the UK is overheating at 35 degrees. We had a great time. Thank you. Hide

A lovely old cottage, beautifully extended and modernised. Everything was pristine and all comforts considered. Beds were very comfortable and the area was quiet so lovely sleeps. Books and DVDs galore if you wanted to stay in and relax. Outside areas were very inviting to sit in - unfortunately the weather, for us, was not. Easy walk to FakenhaRead morem town centre. Parking on the gravel / grass area opposite was no problem at all. May be useful to know that the bath has built in handles either side. Really enjoyed our stay. Hide

Absolutely adorable cottage, beautifully equipped and so many adorable nick-nacks. Loved the old weighing machine and the mincer etc. This cottage has an amazing location, so close to the town with its lovely shops and many supermarkets, but feels you are in the countryside, just out the front door and onto a lovely green with a pond. This was usefRead moreul as our dog didn't like to "go" in the courtyard at the back of the property. Lovely local pub on the doorstep too, and nice local walks. Hide

Incredibly well equipped kitchen which was excellent, location also perfect. Cottage was cosy and very clean, we really enjoyed our stay here and would do so again.
