Nice cottage with friendly neighbour and not too far from dog friendly pubs and walking paths on the common. Stairs were very steep so not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. Back garden is not enclosed so dogs can access road.

What a fabulous holiday cottage! Perfectly situated in a sleepy village but within easy access to the coast and historical places. The nearby pub The Crown in East Rudham served excellent food. We would definitely return.

What a fabulous cottage! Renovated to such a high standard combining the perfect balance of old and new. On arrival there was a selection of cereal, snacks and drinks left for us on the kitchen table, for which we were very grateful and we enjoyed. The history of the cottage inside the folder gave a lovely insight into its past and gave a whole neRead morew enjoyment of the many paintings in the cottage. There are ample lights, plenty of power sockets with USB, the downstairs bathroom was perfectly hidden and very cute, the upstairs bathroom was immaculate and had a very efficient and powerful shower! We used the log burner a couple of times (more for our dog than us as he loves a swim in the sea) which was more than efficient for the size of the cottage. The stairs were typical Norfolk stairs - not for the faint hearted but once you get used to them, theyre ok! The parking across on the grass verge was literally outside the window and maybe two steps from the cottage. That was a concern of mine when reading the information prior to booking but I need not have worried. Syderstone was so quiet! You could hear a pin drop at night! So so quiet! Nowhere was far. The coast is 10-15 mins away. We ate at The White Horse in Blakeney one night and the food was fantastic so would highly recommend. It was about a 25 min drive but worth it. All in all, a great little cottage which we would not hesitate to book again! Thank you for a wonderful stay! Hide

From the moment we arrived, it was clear the owner had thought of absolutely everything. The property was immaculately presented and full of thoughtful touches that made us feel instantly at home. You can tell this cottage is loved by its owners. Had the best holiday and great weather.

The cottage was very nice with two or three exceptions.Being v tall I hit my head many times on the low door ways and the stairs to the upper level was in my opinion dangerous especially to the older person .No amenities in the village.

A lovely small cottage with lots of light, situated in a really beautiful part of Norfolk. Houghton Hall, King's Lynn, Sculthorpe Nature Reserve and Oxburgh Hall are all easily reachable by car, and there is a very pleasant short walk nearby that takes you to Syderstone Common.

We booked this cottage as a last minute replacement having been let down by our original site. It has obviously been newly restored and the quality is superb. Very restful, a handy location for most visitor attractions and a beautiful view across the common from the bedroom. The small spiral staircase may be a problem for someone with bad hips, fRead moreor example, but it made an interesting feature. We spent a little time trying to work out how they managed to get a king-sized bed upstairs??? My wife needed to attend the Norfolk Dialysis Centre in Dersingham three times during the week and it was an easy drive through lovely countryside to achieve this. No doubt it would also be handy for the Wells unit too. A wonderful stay, thank you. Hide
