The Sandringham Country Park extends north from the visitor centre and covers nearly 600 acres, with two waymarked nature trails, a sculpture trail, and numerous woodland paths which are all open access, and free to visit.

If ornithology is a passion, then Dersingham boasts its own English Nature Reserve, plus Holme Dunes National Nature Reserve and the RSPB reserves of Titchwell and Snettisham are just a short distance away. There is an excellent choice of local beaches nearby too, including Snettisham, Hunstanton and Heacham.
