Wymondham is also associated with Robert Kett, who was a leader in the peasant’s revolt of 1549 and held the city of Norwich under siege for six weeks. Wymondham settled down a lot since the Middle Ages and it serves as the perfect holiday retreat – the town has all the handy amenities you could need and it is also within driving distance of the region’s best visitor attractions like Norwich, Thetford Forest, BeWILDerwood and the wonderful Suffolk Coast.
