A stylish and romantic retreat ideal for a couple, hidden among the vast Norfolk countryside. Enjoy a sumptuous and characterful interior as well as a pretty patio garden with lovely views.

Once a gatehouse, this lovely cottage is configured for wheelchair access with level floors and paved paths outside. Heading inside, you will find a contemporary kitchen with everything you need to rustle up tasty breakfasts and dinners. Adjacent is a high-domed lounge/diner, with lancet windows that look out over the garden and flood the space with light. Curl up on the sofa and watch a movie or TV show after a busy day exploring. When you are ready to get some rest, the super-king-size bedroom is elegant and welcoming. Completing the interior of the property is a striking bathroom, which has a huge walk-in shower. Leading from the bedroom are French doors which open to a private patio and garden space, complete with seating. This space overlooks a field full of ancient oak trees. Private, off-road parking is provided for one car.

Situated within the private grounds of a historic property, you will find the vast Kimberley Park right on your doorstep to explore. The traditional market town of Wymondham is 3 miles from here, and has a couple of pubs, restaurants, and shops for you to enjoy. You can head there by car or don your hiking boots and walk along the Tiffey Trail. You could also enjoy a long walk through the country’s largest man-made forest, Thetford Forest (24 miles). The vibrant and historic city of Norwich is 9 miles away with plenty to whet your appetite in the way of shops, eateries, and attractions.

The above comments are meant to be helpful, because overall we had a very enjoyable stay. The bedroom and kitchen were both excellent and it was nice to receive some welcome goodies, especially the wine! The general layout of the lodge was also very good and there was plenty of storage space.

Absolutely fantastic cottage, location excellent for sight seeing etc. Beautiful setting, peaceful and a lovely garden. Very dog friendly, made to feel really welcome. Was nice to be greeted by Steve when we arrived.

The property really has the Wow factor. Very well appointed and decorated to the highest standard. It was very nice to have the Estate Manager Steve visit after we arrived to welcome us and ask if we had any questions. A minor problem with the shower drain was remedied swiftly by Steve the following day. The Lodge was set in beautiful woodlands whiRead morech were perfect for long walks with the dog. The garden was fully enclosed and safe for our dog with a lovely teak patio set to enjoy a glass of wine as the evening sun set. All in all a lovely weekend. A great location for visiting local and further afield attractions. We would definitely return one day. Hide

This was a first class property. The gatehouse to a country Hall The decor is of the highest quality. All rooms were generously proportioned, tastefully decorated and equipped A beautiful garden fenced in and access to walk in areas of the estate. Marvellous. We will return
