Sea Palling cottages
Sea Palling, south of Happisburgh and four miles east of the market town of Stalham is a real family friendly holiday town. With its huge sandy beach which has been awarded and retained a Blue Flag for many years and traditional seaside atmosphere, makes this ideal for families with young children.
Throughout the summer, every day there are Royal National Lifeboat Institute Lifeguards on duty, plus due to the nine sea defence reefs that were built, bays have formed making sheltered & safer areas for swimming, again great if you have young children.
The reefs which are constructed from large stones have allowed the formation of rock pools which can keep children entertained for hours, although care should be taken when climbing on them.
The town benefits from two pubs, cafes, amusement arcades, a Post Office, general store, farm shop and a stall which sells locally caught fish caught. You can even explore the area further by bicycle by hiring cycles from Sea Palling Cycle Hire Ltd, they are even happy to deliver and collect the bikes directly at your holiday cottage and provide free map routes for you to use.
Further afield you can explore the Capital of the Broads “Wroxham,” and the historic city of Norwich as both have direct access from Sea Palling with regular bus services running during the week.
For nature lovers the Norfolk Wildlife Trust reserve at Hickling is only five miles away, and you can often be rewarded with the sightings of seals when walking along the beach towards Waxham and Horsey.
