This characterful cottage is set in the charming village of Ingham, within the Broads National Park. The property sleeps four guests and makes a lovely couples’ retreat or base for a small family. Just 2 miles away is Stalham, providing easy access to The Broads’ waterways. Alternatively, to explore Norfolk’s stunning coastline, journey to the beach at Sea Palling (3 miles). After a day of adventure, return to the cottage for a BBQ in the idyllic garden.
The semi-detached property has a home-from-home feel, with traditional country-cottage decor and beautiful original features. The lounge is warm and inviting, with sumptuous sofas to relax on and a cosy wood burner, along with a striking original beam running across the ceiling. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare dinner, to enjoy together around the table in the adjoining dining room. Upstairs, discover two pretty bedrooms – a double and a twin – along with the family bathroom. Heading outside, you’ll find a delightful, enclosed garden with a lawn area where children and dogs can play, as well as a patio with outdoor furniture and a BBQ for al fresco dining.
Sea Palling is a family favourite, thanks to its vast expanse of golden sand and calm waters for bathing. A 3-mile walk from Sea Palling brings you to Horsey Gap, which is a must if you’re visiting in winter months. Here, you’ll find the viewing platform to admire the hundreds of seals and their pups, who gather on the sand from October to January. To explore The Broads, head to Stalham on the River Ant. Be sure to pop into the fascinating Museum of the Broads, before hiring a vessel or joining a boat trip at Stalham Staithe to explore the picturesque network of waterways that branch away from the town.
