You’ll also be surrounded by open countryside that you can explore on foot or by bicycle. Despite its rural setting, you’re only 3 miles from the charming market town of Harleston where you’ll find pubs, shops and restaurants.
After admiring the property’s charming wooden structure, step inside to a bright and sociable open-plan living area. It has French doors framing the watery views, leading you out to the main lakeside deck. At one end of the property is comfy seating, a Smart TV and a DVD player that set the scene for relaxed evenings, and at the other is a well-equipped kitchen. In the bedroom, a super-king-size bed and freestanding bath add a luxurious touch. French doors from here open out onto a second deck, and there’s a large en-suite with a large walk-in deluge shower and WC. Bathrobes are provided for leisurely trips between the bath, shower, private outdoor hot tub and sauna. The main deck has a table and chairs so you can sit down to fresh-air meals overlooking the water. There’s a separate carp fishing lake 100 metres away (please note, charges apply and advance booking is required through the CATCH app). You’ll have private on-site parking for up to two cars.
When it’s time to head out, uncover local history at the 100th Bomb Group Memorial Museum (4 miles), stroll beside the water at Diss Mere (8 miles) or enjoy heritage railways and attractive gardens at Bressingham Steam and Gardens (12.5 miles). Framlingham Castle (11 miles) is also an excellent option, combining panoramic views with centuries of English history.
