Inside this luxury wooden home, wide windows in the spacious open-plan living area frame the water. Here, you’ll have a well-equipped kitchen for food prep along with a glass-topped dining table for sharing meals. The generous lounge area comes with a corner sofa, TV and DVD player and warm coal-effect gas stove to keep you cosy on cooler evenings. French doors open out towards the lake so you can let the outside in when the weather’s good. The large super-king-size bedroom has an indoor lay-down sauna and its own French doors overlooking the water, plus an en-suite bathroom featuring a freestanding double-ended bath (fluffy bathrobes provided). Outside, you can fish for roach, tench, perch, pike and carp directly from the lodge’s private deck. A separate deck with patio furniture sets you up for fresh-air meals or a peaceful read – or you can soak in the private hot tub, which has open views across the lake. The lake and surrounding grounds are shared with guests staying in neighbouring lodges. Private parking for up to two cars is available on site.
When you fancy exploring, Diss is ideal for shopping and dining, and you can take lakeside strolls at nearby Diss Mere. Love a bit of history? Travel back in time at the 100th Bomb Group Memorial Museum (4 miles), a WW2 aviation museum (4 miles) away, or board a steam train at Bressingham Steam and Gardens (12.5 miles). Framlingham Castle, one of medieval England's finest baronial fortresses, is also around 11 miles from the lodge.
