Self-catering holiday cottages in Horning

Horning is a lovely picturesque village at the heart of the Norfolk Broads. Known fondly as 'The Jewel of the Norfolk Broads' It functions like a mini version of Wroxham and is found on the Northern bank of the River Bure and South of the River Thurne. If you fancy exploring the miles of waterways, there are many boating companies where you can hire various types of boats – all hire companies will provide you with general instructions and safety advice, along with advising you on the best river routes to take for you to enjoy your trip the most.

Even if you don’t fancy actually heading out on the water, we are sure you will enjoy just sitting; relaxing and watching the boats go by - a perfect way to unwind. If you are bringing your own boat, there is a designated 24-hour free mooring available in the village. The village also has a good selection of waterside shops, pubs, restaurants and tea-rooms. Cycling is becoming an even more popular pastime in and around the Broads – understandably with the wonderful countryside through meandering lanes, winding rivers, woodlands and fens, to explore. You can hire cycles from Broadland Cycle Hire and they will deliver a variety of bicycles directly to your holiday cottage. Just up the road is the award winning outdoor adventure park, BeWilderwood is a family fun day out, where adults are encouraged to play alongside their children among tree houses, zip wires and jungle bridges – a unique attraction and a full day of fun is guaranteed. Take a look at our range of Horning cottages and start planning your next romantic, family-friendly or dog-friendly getaway to the Norfolk Broads.
