A charming glamping pod on a friendly, rural site, this wooden hideaway makes a great base for discovering the incredible scenery of North Norfolk. Ideal for both the countryside and the coast, the one-bedroom retreat sleeps two guests, with the possibility of two more on a futon. Set close to Alby, known for its craft centre and gardens, the site is 6 miles from the coast and the Victorian town of Cromer. Head here to stock up on local produce, dine out and spend time on the beach and pier. Stride out along the Norfolk Coast Path, perhaps attempting the 3-mile section to Sheringham. The National Trust’s colourful Sheringham Park, 10.5 miles from your base, is a magnificent place to walk. Blickling Hall, with its Jacobean mansion house and gorgeous parkland grounds, is just 6 miles away. Plan a day trip to the historic city of Norwich, 18.5 miles away.
Return from your exhilarating trips to make yourself at home inside your glamping retreat. Take two steps up to the deck, then let yourselves in to find everything you need for your stay is at your fingertips. The open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner/bedroom, with its curved wooden ceiling, has a welcoming ambience. Prepare a light meal in the kitchenette, then pull a chair out from under the table. Find your favourite show on the Smart TV and settle in for the evening. The lovely double bed, with its freshly laundered sheets, offers the perfect night’s sleep. Your extra guests can be accommodated on a pull out futon. Adjoining the main area is a private WC. For a hot shower, make your way over to the nearby shared facilities.
Much of the time you spend here will be out in your private, gravelled garden. Here you have furniture for dining and relaxing. Turn on the bubbling hot tub when you are ready for a long soak. Light the firepit as the sun begins to go down over the Norfolk countryside. You also have access to a shared children’s play area and shop on the leafy site. Off-road parking is in a shared on-site car park.
