With the beach almost on the doorstep, this cheerful coastal property is made for family holidays or getaways with friends along Norfolk’s spectacular shoreline. The converted farm building is full of country charm, and boasts a lovely garden that’s perfect for BBQs and relaxing in the sun.
The former farm building, in a small complex of similar holiday escapes, boasts a timber-clad exterior and prettily painted window frames, with two shallow steps up to the stable-type front door. Inside, the open-plan lounge/diner is bright and airy, with a wooden floor and pale walls. Relax in the soft seating and you can enjoy the light that pours through the patio doors and, after dark, draw the curtains and watch the TV. The adjoining kitchen offers ample space for preparing family meals, with all the appliances you’ll need, including a microwave for convenience. Upstairs, three attractive bedrooms comprise a king-size with sea views, a tranquil double and a bunk bedroom ideal for younger guests. A ground-floor shower room and a first-floor bathroom provide flexibility for busy mornings. The sunny patio is ideal for summer BBQs and a great spot in which to enjoy the fresh sea air. Private parking is available for two cars.
For long days of paddling and sandcastle-building, Heacham’s sand-and-shingle beach is just 300 metres away, while the shops, pubs and cafes of the popular village are within around 0.5 miles. Also close at hand are the scent-filled fields of Norfolk Lavender (1.5 miles). Wander over to Hunstanton (3.5 miles) for another excellent beach, distinctive striped cliffs and more amenities – you might want to pack a picnic and enjoy one of its renowned sunsets. For beautiful woodland walks and some revealing royal history, the Sandringham estate is just 7 miles away.
