Swap everyday life for sea breezes and evenings under the stars with a stay at this hand-crafted shepherd’s hut just moments from Heacham Beach. Designed for couples (and a furry friend) who enjoy simple pleasures, it’s perfectly placed for exploring Norfolk’s coastal scenery, seaside towns and unique attractions.
This charming shepherd’s hut offers a cosy glamping experience, with the modern comforts of plug sockets and access to the internet. There are four steps up to the decking at the front, and you’ll enter through the stable door and hang coats just inside. The welcome, open-plan space includes a kitchenette with a two-ring hob, microwave and fridge – perfect for conjuring up light holiday meals. There’s a dining table for two and, beyond, a wood-burner-effect electric fire to create a warming glow. The hut’s insulated, tongue-and-groove walls help maintain a pleasant temperature throughout the year. A comfortable double bed offers restful nights, and windows all around draw in plenty of natural light. A private shower with WC is located close to the hut. There’s also a larger kitchen on site, shared with other glamping escapes. A private, lawned area outside the hut (open to the shared grounds) has comfortable chairs and a fire pit, as well as a hammock for those long evenings with a book or gazing up at Norfolk’s starry skies. Private parking is available for one car.
Walk just 200 metres to reach fabulous Heacham South Beach, great for dog walking, and stroll along the sands to reach the North Beach, which is generally busier, and perfect for a wander along the prom with an ice cream. Keep going and you’ll reach the elegant resort of Hunstanton (3.5 miles), known for its red-and-white striped cliffs. Visit Norfolk Lavender (2 miles), or the majestic Holkham estate (17 miles).
