Walcott is an excellent location for seaside holidays; it has a wonderful sandy beach which is dog free during the summer season and perfect for a long romantic walk in winter. It is situated on the North Norfolk coast between Mundesley and Happisburgh and is the only point on the coastal road where the road actually runs along the edge of the sea. At Happisburgh, you can see the famous colourful oldest working light in East Anglia and it is the only independently-run lighthouse in Great Britain. The village has a number of shops and a pub which serves good food, with further facilities available either in Stalham, 4 miles away, the traditional market town of North Walsham, 6 miles away, or the larger seaside holiday destination of Cromer, 11 miles away.
