Wells-next-the-Sea is a charming, traditional seaside town on the North Norfolk coast. It is an area of outstanding natural beauty, with beautiful sandy beaches framed by pine trees. A visit to Wells wouldn’t be complete without a spot of crabbing on the quayside or just watch the world go by whilst sampling the best of fish and chips at French's. There are great local pubs and places to eat including The Crown Inn and The Globe a short walk from the Quay and facing the tree-lined green. Wells has a beautiful sandy beach with a pinewood backdrop along with sand dunes and colourful beach huts. Popular with all ages the beach can be reached by the miniature steam train from the harbour. Alternatively take a walk along the Quay to the beach and visit the dog and family-friendly beach cafe taking in the views of the sailing boats and active fishing fleet. Dog lovers may enjoy a slightly longer stroll and continue along the soft sands along to Holkham beach; simply stunning in all seasons.
