Thornham is a vibrant picturesque village that forms part of the conservation area on the North West Norfolk Coast. There is a wide sandy beach and a small harbour, both of which form part of a local nature reserve, a paradise for walkers and birdwatchers. There are so many tempting pubs/restaurants and eateries in the village. There is a lovely deli/village shop next to the children's playground and communal tennis court. There is also a delightful farm shop on the western edge of the village, with the Yurt restaurant, Gurney's fresh fish, Eric's fish and chips and an array of other shops. The coastal town of Hunstanton is just four miles away, it has a sandy beach, long promenade boasting stunning sunsets and many attractions for children. The Coast Hopper bus can take you to Wells-next-the-Sea where you can try crabbing on the quay, or spot seals at nearby Morston or Blakeney, or visit villages including Brancaster and Burnham Market - an excellent opportunity to leave the car behind and enjoy the scenery. Don't miss one of the best beaches in the UK at Holkham, where you can also explore the hall and vast parkland within the Estate. HM The Queen's Sandringham Estate is close by, as is the Titchwell RSPB Reserve, or head to Holme Dunes nature reserve, run by the Norfolk Wildlife Trust.
