Rainbow Cottage is a contemporary barn retaining all its old features, newly refurbished to a high standard it offers perfect accommodation, combining character with modern facilities. Situated on a quiet country lane, with access to the owner's indoor heated salt water swimming pool, the local amenities are within easy walking distance. Shop/Pub: 0.5 miles

The property is on the same site as Blackberry Cottage ref. 1762 and Hawthorne Cottage ref. 1653, making it ideal for groups wishing to holiday together, while retaining their own privacy.

Ground Floor:
Open Plan Sitting/Kitchen/Dining Room with comfortable seating, flat screen TV, DVD player, dining table and chairs, wood burner
Kitchen with electric oven, electric hob, combination microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine 
Bedroom 1 with a king-size bed
Bedroom 2 with twin beds
Bathroom with bath over-bath electric shower, washbasin and wc

Garden: Small lawned area with patio, charcoal barbecue, fire pit, table and chairs. Access to a raised circular ornamental pool with fountain.  
Pool Room: Use of the owner's salt water swimming pool with Jacuzzi jets. Comfortable seating. Water cooler. The Pool Room is available between the hours of 8am and 3pm and is shared between all three cottages. Please note there is no lifeguard, so an adult must supervise children of any age at all times and nobody can use the pool area on their own. No alcohol is to be consumed in the pool area. 

Please note: from January 2023 the pool will be no longer be available for guest use and will be replaced with a hot tub. 

Hot tub: Available from January 2023.

Parking: Cart shed parking for one large car plus driveway parking.
Heating: Electric central heating, wood burner.

Notes: This is a non-smoking property. Mobile reception poor/none at the cottage, coverage can be obtained at top of the driveway! Children should be supervised at all times when close to water. 

Roughton provides an ideal base for exploring the coast and countryside of North Norfolk. The seaside town of Cromer has a lovely sandy beach, and pier with its own theatre and traditional seafront entertainment. The area is rich in history and heritage with many museums and fine houses including Felbrigg Hall, which is only one mile away. There are lovely walks to be found close by, ranging from National Trust parkland to cliff-top walks as well as along country lanes and footpaths. The village has a shop, fish and chip shop and pub, which serves meals, with further amenities available in Cromer.


Excellent location, lovely owners, perfect for the dogs with enclosed garden. Dog friendly places near by: Felbrigg hall, Sheringham park (take cash for car park), Wells next the sea absolutely worth the 40 mins drive. We'll be back for sure!

Lovely cottage, very quiet and tranquil and the pool is amazing. Location is great and although you need a car to get to most things , they are all within a few miles - would recommend.
