Flaxmans Farmhouse is part of an award winning Grade II listed complex and offers beautiful, spacious, family accommodation. The traditional brick and flint farmhouse, built originally in the 1700s is full of character, has quirky features, and a magnificent inglenook fireplace which is listed and described in Pevsner's Buildings of Norfolk. Roughton provides an ideal base for exploring the coast and countryside of North Norfolk. The seaside town of Cromer is only two miles away and has a lovely sandy beach, pier with its own theatre and traditional seafront entertainment. The area is rich in history and heritage with many museums and fine houses including Felbrigg Hall, which is only one mile away. There are lovely walks to be found close by, ranging from National Trust parkland to cliff-top walks as well as along country lanes and footpaths. The village has a shop and pub, which serves meals, with further amenities available in Cromer.
Absolutely beautiful property - never stayed anywhere so well equipped with gorgeous crockery. Brilliant for families - we loved every minute and really didn’t want to leave!
