Property code: OC-2275

A charming brick and flint cottage 500 metres from the centre of Holt, a Georgian market town on the edge of the Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The dog-friendly cottage features an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, en-suite facilities in two of its bedrooms and a games area on its mezzanine level. It is the perfect base for a relaxing holiday for a family or group of friends, within reach of Holt Country Park and Wells-next-the-Sea.

The two-storey cottage is believed to date back to the 19th century and was once part of the meeting hall for The Society of Oddfellows. With its high ceilings and contemporary soft furnishings, the cottage offers a home-from-home experience with comfort at its core. The cottage has a reverse-level layout, with a utility room on the ground floor along with an en-suite super-king-size bedroom, an en-suite double bedroom, a second double bedroom and a family bathroom. The open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner on the first floor is bright and airy, with plenty of room for everyone, whether relaxing over brunch or curling up with a film after an indulgent supper. Up on the mezzanine level, guests can chill with a book or blow off some steam over table football. The cottage lacks an outside space, but its proximity to the centre of Holt more than makes up for it.

The streets of Holt (500 metres) are brimming with art galleries, shops selling local produce and dog-friendly pubs. The 100 acres of woodland at Holt Country Park (1 mile) are ideal for dog walks, while the North Norfolk Steam Railway (0.5 miles) can take guests to Weybourne and Sheringham. The Norfolk Coast AONB boasts some stunning beaches, with Holkham and Wells-next-the-Sea (within 13 miles) amongst the most popular.

Great location for central access to the town. House is very well laid out & the open plan living was great. The table football was a great addition too! Make sure you take a very small car to be able to park outside the property. The other parking space is within easy walking distance of the house.

Perfectly located close to the centre of Holt and within a five minute walk of its lovely shops and restaurants and the north coast is a short fifteen minute drive away. The property was spotlessly clean, really well appointed, very comfortable and one of the best equipped self catering properties we have stayed in. We would have no hesitation in sRead moretaying again. Hide
