Holt is a popular town on the North Norfolk map. Seek out its Georgian charm and character, art and antique galleries, fashion boutiques, food shops offering the best of local produce, café's, pubs and restaurants. The Green Flag awarded Holt Country Park has over 100 acres of woodland to discover and Holt is also home to the North Norfolk Steam Railway, where you can pick up the Poppy Line and enjoy a train ride to Weybourne and Sheringham on a diesel or steam train. Just a short drive to the stunning North Norfolk coast, where you can discover bird watching, nature reserves, enchanting coastal and inland villages, Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, sailing, seal watching and vast sandy beaches. The coastal villages of Blakeney for seal trips and Cley for bird watching are just five miles away. A little further along the coast road is the current home of the Earl of Leicester, Holkham Hall, which hosts numerous events throughout the year. Colourful beach huts decorate the vast sands at Wells-next-the Sea and Holkham beach is the chosen beach of the ‘Household Cavalry’ who can be seen galloping along whilst taking a well-earned break in the summer.
I don’t see how you could find a better place! Superb in every single way - we will be back again and definitely through Norfolk Cottages again too!
The description and facilities were exactly as described.
Holly Cottage is one of the loveliest places we have stayed in. All the stars are deserved. Its location to revel in all that Holt has to offer is fabulous. The cottage made us feel very spoilt and special. Hot tub was amazing, and dear garden so simply done. Excellent location for so many lovely beaches. Having parking (for one) was a luxury in a place like Holt. The Snug bistro very nearby was a huge bonus, they pride themselves on fabulous flavours and a passion for all they do. Beds were super-comfy. Kitchen very well appointed.
We had a lovely time at Holly Cottage and we were blessed with great weather. Everything about the cottage was as described and the town of Holt was also great. We were unable to see the seals as the tide was out and so unable to get a boat but next time maybe. I used the hot tub as we came back from a long walk which I enjoyed very much. Thank you so much
Wonderful cottage - very spacious and so bright & clean. Love all the nice touches throughout - everything we could have needed was there. Will be back!
Excellent and exceptional holiday in every way! Holly Cottage is the perfect, cosy, luxury break away. Hot Tub a real added bonus! Having a clean holiday home is my top priority and there was no disappointment, absolutely immaculate. Cleanest rental we’ve ever had. Perfect location & spoilt for choice with cafes, bars, shops in spitting distance. First thing we did when we got home, was book again!
The owner of the property has clearly put a lot of thought into exactly what holiday guests might want. The house is beautifully furnished and really well-equipped. The bathrooms and amenities are modern but still retain the character of this old property. The beds were super comfortable and every little detail has been thought of. The hot tub was wonderful; especially as we didn’t have great weather. It was also good to note that it was emptied and cleaned between visitors - this is something other owners don’t do and as a result we have often had to stop using tubs due to skin irritation from excessive chemical use. No such issues here. Everything about the property was high quality. The welcome pack of local products was also fantastic. The property is centrally located in Holt, which has some great independent shops and eateries. It is also an ideal base for traveling around North Norfolk. We really cannot fault this property, thank you for your attention to detail.
