Reviews

We received a lovely welcome from Jeremy to this very clean and cosy cottage. What a beautiful garden too - sitting in the morning sun to eat breakfast. The cottage is in a very peaceful location - great for exploring the local area. All in all, a super relaxing place to stay. Thank you!

Past Customer,

The perfect place for a relaxing getaway. It's just so peaceful here, and the perfect cottage to relax in. As an old 'Norfolk Boy' I'd forgotten just how much I love this part of the world. It was also the perfect 'staging post' for visits to family in Suffolk/ Many thanks Jeremy for making us so welcome- and apologies for disrupting your croquet with our late arrival!

Rose and M,

What a lovely cottage this is! Very quaint, Jeremy made us feel very welcome and there sweet peas were a nice touch. We visited various parts of Norfolk and had a great time. The weather was awful but we made the most of it. Thank you Jeremy.

Chris and D,

Lovely, comfortable cottage. We really appreciated basics such as tea towels & washing up liquid being provided as these are the type of things we consistently forget to pack! Excellent base for exploring the North Norfolk coast, as we were visiting friends near Swaffham. Would definitely stay here again!

Past Customer,

A perfect cottage to explore North & North West Norfolk. If you like nig beaches - Holme and Brancaster and Holkham meet that standard and then some! Gardens - we'd recommend Hindringham and Holkam's Walled are spectacular. There are so many excellent pubs around but we really enjoyed The Lifeboat at Thornham, The Jolly Sailors at Brancaster Staithe and eating at the Ostrich South Creake and The Carpentors Arms at Wighton. Lovely cottage with everything you need. Beds are just right after a days Norfolking. Many Thanks to our host Jeremy & the fresh sweet peas. We won't hesitate to return.

Past Customer,

We had a most pleasant stay at the cottage and were lucky enough to have hot weather throughout. We found we would sit outside in the mornings and afternoons while the cottage itself remained cool. We enjoyed good long walks at the Holkham estate and Blicklinng Beach at Brancaster us great for an early morning walk. Thank you for a comfortable stay and for the sweet peas.

Past Customer,

Thank you for a very comfortable and relaxing stay in the cottage. We like that it is away from the road and very quiet, and the roses in full bloom are fabulous. We enjoyed exploring the coast and bird watching, but also stopping for great food and fun shops in Holt. We enjoyed lunch at The Moorings in Blackeney great for fish and seafood. We watched some Wimbledon and most of England beating Denmark in the Euros. If the opportunity arises, we'd love to come again!

Past Customer,

Lovely cottage- lovely weather- lovely Norfolk- it all lined up for a great holiday revisit to old haunts in the area. We can recommend Sunday pizza night (eat in takeaway) at the Blue Bell, Langham, Albert's fish and chips in Holt and the pies athe the Three Horsehoes at Warham.

Previous Customer,

Thank you for a comfortable stay at Church Barn Cottage - a quiet and restful base from which we could visit all our favourite Norfolk places. Blickling & Felbrigg were as good as always but the Old Vicarage garden in East Ruston is simply wonderful - a gardeners' dream space.

Past Customer,

Our very first visit to Norfolk and what a great stay we had. Cottage was more than we hoped for, location was ideal as away from the crowds, but not too far to travel to the popular destinations. Our host/owner Jeremy was excellent. always available if need be, keeps a very nice set up., with lovely gardens. It was our 11 month old dog's first visit to the sea, it took a few attempts to find the sea, but it was well worth it! Best beach we found was Holkham. Parking in Burnham Overby Staithe and walking along the coastal path over the dunes and wow, less people/dogs than Wells side.

Previous Customer,

This was our first visit to North Norfolk and Church Barn Cottage was absolutely perfect for us - immaculately clean, comfortable and had everything we wanted. Jeremy was a very good host, really oliging. We enjoyed crabbing at Mundesely Beach and bird watching. We also had a couple of great days on the beach at Holkham & Wells, highly recommend these. Also recommend the fish and chips from Eric's in Holt. A big thanks to Jeremy and Allison for making our stay such a nice one.

Past Customer,

Thank you for a lovely late September holiday. We were lucky with the weather and managed to do a lot of exploring. The cottage was very clean and very cosy- the location made for a very relaxing week. So much to do- and everything felt easily accessible. We would recommend staying here to friends.

Previous Customer,

Our third stay is this delightful, cosy cottage! Lots to do and see in Norfolk and most of the visits we did were nearby. Perfect!

Shona and T,

We had a lovely holiday in Church Barn. Jeremy was very welcoming and attentive without being intrusive. Fixed a small repair on the same day, re-adjusted the hot water! Great location, park by Morston to save parking fees! Loved our walks on the marshes to the beaches. Best meal - The Blue Bell. Best fish and chips - Albert's, Holt though Eric's is almost as good. Cafe - Wiveton Hall (closes at 8pm) for a late coffee with views and chickens around your feet.

Past Customer,

What a terrific place from which to explore this part of Norfolk. We found Church Barn cottage to be incredibly clean upon arrival and Jeremy was very accomodating re adjusting the radiator's on and off times. The kitchen was also large and better equipped than we'd imagine it would be based on the photos of it online :) We hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did.
