Blakeney with its harbour, marshes and stunning scenery is a hotspot for a great coastal holiday. Within easy walking distance of the cottage there are several places to eat; a local delicatessen, a general store and the North Norfolk Coastal path can be easily picked up, which is great for birdwatching and walking. The walk to Morston on the coastal path is just over a mile and with a lunch at The Anchor when you get there, it is a lovely way to spend the day, as is a trip to see the local seal colony at Blakeney Point. The village also has some interesting art galleries, gift shops and The Blakeney Harbour Rooms has a growing reputation for showcasing some good tribute bands. This stunning diverse coast is recognised as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, there are fantastic sandy beaches at Wells-next-the-Sea and Holkham with beautiful Holkham Hall and deer park also in the village, both a short drive away. In the summer visit Wiveton Hall - now a well-known landmark following the BBC's Normal for Norfolk programme. Stop in the cafe to admire the beautiful marsh views with a cup of tea and pick your own raspberries and strawberries from the fruit farm - it's all normal for Norfolk!

Thanks for a lovely stay in your gorgeous cottage - it is so comfortable and we've had a great week!

Past Customer,

Very clean and comfortable property that had everything we needed, plus a lovely welcome pack which we really appreciated and enjoyed.

Mr B,

A lovely cosy cottage. Clean and well equipped with everything you could possibly need.

Mrs D,

Lovely cottage, was perfect for the three of us and our small dog. Thank you so much!

Past Customer,

Fantastic stay- lovely house and you have supplied everything that we all needed- dog included. Many thanks

Past Customer,

Thank you very much for setting us up to have a wonderful 3-4 days here in Blakeney. We've enjoyed it enormously, despite the slightly weather capricious weather. The cottage with it's nooks and crannies and uneven floors is delightful. We greatly appreciate your thoughtful provision of the essentials, thank you. We had brought some food and cleaning essentials with us, but didn't need them - unusual in holiday rentals. Thank you very much for all you did to enhance our stay. With all good wishes.

June & I,

We had a great week! Blakeney is very special to us and the first time back for us in 6 years. Cuckoo Cottage was such a lovely place to stay. We all felt very comfortable and at home and hope to return again soon. Thank you for looking into the hot water issue so quickly and sorting!

Ms Kathy P,

Lovely cottage thank you so much

Ms P,

10 out of 10, we had a great time

Mr S,

A delightfully intimate and cosy base to explore Blakeney and the surrounding area, making Cuckoo Cottage a place we hope to return to one day! It is well-equipped and had everything we needed for our stay and knowing after our long walks that we would always be returning to a warm and welcoming environment was fantastic. This was our first time in Norfolk - the nature is absorbing, the food wholesome and filling and weather irrelevant as there is always something to do, inside and out!

Past Customer,

Cuckoo cottage is a warm and comfortable place to stay. You have thought of everything and the house is both charming and pretty. Highly recommend. Thank you 21st February 2022

Past Customer,

So well equipped in the kitchen. A lovely, cosy cottage. Dog treats and bed too. The jam and marmalade pack was a delicious welcome too. Really comfy bed and everywhere so clean.

Mr J,

Hi Hilary & Andrew, On arrival we were very pleasantly greeted by a warm, tidy, well equipped cottage. For our stay we had very comfortable beds. Plenty of walks from the village including the umpteeth time doing the Clay circular. Overall, we have had a great week in a very good cottage. Thank you for the experience. We now must return to a life at home - nevermind. Regards & Thanks

Martin & A,

We’ve had a lovely stay at cuckoo Cottage this week. It's very well equipped and has felt like a real ‘home from home’. Coming back to the warm, cosy cottage after a day’s walking (in sometimes inclement weather) has been great – Little touches like the soft, luxurious Towels and even the jolly kitchen table cloth have made us feel very welcome. The third member of our party, your Stan (the wire-haired Fox Terrier) has greatly enjoyed the bed under the radiator – exactly what’s required after exertion on Holkham beach! We’ve walked every day – Salthouse Heath & Marshes, Sheringham Park, Blakeney, Wiveton Down, Cley, Felbrigg Estate & Metton, Burnham Overy Staithe, Holkham Hall & Beach and Glandford/Bayfield Hall. We say it every time we visit Holkham Beach “It doesn’t get much better than this” - huge vistas, sea, sky, sand and a happy Terrier. Then again, people say the same to us when they visit the district, albeit replacing ‘Sky’ and ‘Sea’ with ‘Hills’ & ‘Dales’. So, as I write this watching the flames flicker in the stove, it’s time to consider our next trip to Norfolk, which I suspect won’t be too far away. Thanks for helping to make this a wonderful break, Simon, Charlotte & Stan

Previous Customer,

A lovely cottage, clean and well equipped. Well located for walks along the coastal path.

Mrs T,

A lovely cosy cottage in a great location for exploring Blakeney and the North Norfolk coast. The kitchen was well equipped and cottage had everything we needed for a very enjoyable stay.

Past Customer,

We had a wonderful week in your lovely cottage - thank you. Your cottage is so well equipped with lots of extra touches. Blakeney is a wonderful part of the country and we have thoroughly enjoyed exploring the beaches and surrounding countryside. We would love to come back.

Mrs Rebecca M,

Cuckoo Cottage is a short walk from Blakeney Quay. The cottage is well fitted out with everything you wish for. It is also pristine in its cleanliness. It was a joy to stay here.

Previous Customer,

The property was immaculately clean and finished to a very high standard. An easy walk to the quay in Blakeney. We never had any problems parking in the free park by the village hall, about 3 minutes walk away. Beware the property has no real outside space.

Previous Customer,

We loved our stay at Cuckoo Cottage, it is a delightful cottage and very well resourced. It's a lovely size in a stunning village with access to lots of amazing walks and we would highly recommend a stay here.

Mr W,
