Binham is a beautiful, peaceful village retaining all the charm and character of a bygone age. The village has the remains of an early 12th century Benedictine priory, where classical concerts are held throughout the summer and the whole area is steeped in history. The Georgian town of Holt is seven miles away with the harbour town of Wells five miles away. Also nearby is the picturesque village of Blakeney, where narrow streets slope down to the tidal creek, and which offers sailing and beautiful coastal and marshland walks. It is a great area for walks and wildlife , lovely countryside and beaches , several National Trust properties nearby all within easy reach . Abbey house is very comfortable with great views of the Priory opposite and surrounded by beautiful gardens , the gardeners even leave a flower arrangement on the patio table by the back gate ! We felt very comfortable at 1 Abbey House. It is in a lovely setting opposite the Priory and handy for the pub, shop and petrol pumps. It's also close to the coast.
