Lovingly restored over many a weekend, Lillie Cottage is now a beautifully presented, modern holiday home. The facade of the cottage leads into a spacious Norfolk countryside retreat that is a little slice of rural bliss. The interiors are fresh and inviting and the open plan style means the cottage is light-filled and welcoming. The huge floor to ceiling windows at the rear of the cottage, lead out to a very private and sunny garden with a terrace, the perfect place to relax and enjoy the sunshine on warmer days or dine out under the stars - there is no street lighting here. A king size bed and a twin room, make the cottage perfect for either a family or couples' stay. There is a good pub just under a mile down the road and The Old Dairy, which showcases locally produced artisan foods, has a cafe and gift shop and is within walking distance. Hidden away, the hamlet of Stanfield is in an enchanting corner of Norfolk and yet the beautiful coastal beaches of Wells-next-the-Sea and Holkham are less than half an hour away. Shop: 2 miles Pub: 1 mile

Stanfield is small hamlet tucked away on the fringes of north Norfolk and is a great location for exploring much that the area has to offer. Locally there is a pretty parish Church, and the surrounding countryside is made for walking and cycling along quiet rural lanes. The award winning Brisley Bell Inn is a well-known and well thought of characterful watering hole and is less than a mile from the cottage. Much of the coast to the north is designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and there are some fabulous dune-backed and sandy beaches at both Wells-next-the-Sea and Holkham. Holkham Hall, deer park and gardens also make a lovely days' outing. The coastal villages that lie along the top of Norfolk each have their own character and stories to tell and the attractive Georgian town of Burnham Market, with its independent shops and eateries clustered around the village green is a charming way to while away the hours. The National Trust's Blickling and Felbrigg Halls are within easy reach and those with a hankering for a little bit of retail therapy and great restaurants, with a spot of history thrown in, could easily head into the capital of the county, Norwich, for a great day out.

I would just like to comment on our stay at Lillie Cottage, over the Christmas holidays, Lillie Cottage was absolutely gorgeous, clean, well presented and just lovely, we had our Christmas dinner in the cottage and there was 4 of us and we found everything that we needed to be able to do a lovely dinner. The welcome hamper that the Walkers left for us was such a lovely touch as well, there has been a lot of thought gone into making Lillie Cottage the perfect place to stay and I must say I think they have achieved that.

Previous Customer,

A gorgeous, immaculate cottage in a pretty countryside location. Very well equipped for self catering, comfy beds, squishy sofas, a lovely practical "inside to outside" open plan feel. Wonderful little touches too- welcome pack, fresh flowers, useful local info guide. Highly recommend.
