Larling is a small village twenty one miles south west of Norwich, in an area known as The Brecks. Reputed to be one of the driest areas of the country, here you will find rolling farmland, open heaths and pine forests, much of it designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest and home to rare birds such as the Stone Curlew and Nightjars. Larling is  close to the famous Snetterton Circuit, a must visit place for all motor sport enthusiasts. Also within easy reach are the small market towns of Attleborough and Wymondham, or a little further afield are the beautiful cathedral cities of Norwich and Ely. This is an ideal area from which to explore Norfolk or Suffolk.

Reviews

An excellent property, one of the best we have stayed in, with two en-suite double bedrooms and a delicious welcome pack waiting for us on our arrival; thoroughly deserving of its 4* Gold Visit England award Our hosts were very friendly but not intrusive and Billy (the dog) greeted us on our arrival ... even those of you who don't like dogs will be enchanted by him. The property sits in a very picturesque location with lots of interesting places to visit, including Oxburgh and Ickworth (both National Trust) and the charming country church at Larling itself. It also had a great selection of books, games and DVDs for those days when the weather can be inclement and a smart patio with furniture and barbeque for when the weather allows. The underfloor heating was a little noisy but ensured the cottage stayed cosy (we visited in March) and therefore we didn't get to use the woodburning stove which must be wonderful on cold, winter days. We would definitely recommend staying here and hope to return.

Mrs C,

Great hosts and really nice welcome pack. Beautiful garden and colourful pots. Billy (the dog) is extremely friendly and very ready to share his toys!

Mrs M,

Lovely property & hosts especially welcoming.

Mrs A,

This place is excellent, the owners are very helpful.

Mr K,

Amazing stay! just what the family needed, time together in a lovely rural area where you can watch the animals in the meadow. My son made very good friends with the farm dog Billy too. The owners were so welcoming friendly and helpful, making sure we were all OK. Lovely touches to the cottage with everything you need, also fresh herbs growing in the garden too! We would absolutely love to return here and would certainly recommend it. Thanks so much for such a lovely stay!

Mrs G,

What a lovely place! Even nicer than we had imagined. We stayed in the larger of the two cottages (Remus) which has a nice lounge and separate kitchen. There is a great woodburner, which adds to the coziness on a wet afternoon. There is ample outside space and plenty of wildlife on the farm to watch from the garden. Our hosts were delightful- we will definitely be back at some point. Oh, and not forgetting the delicious Sunday lunch at the nearby pub!
