Description

Possibly one of the most beautiful barns in Norfolk, presented with style and panache the barn exudes a luxe lifestyle for you to enjoy. Once arrived there is little need to go elsewhere. Private catering can be arranged, as can archery lessons and there is also a hard tennis court with racquets and balls supplied, a hot tub, somewhere to store bicycles with some to borrow, plus 33 acres of countryside to explore from the front door. There is a gorgeous Italianate-style patio garden for al fresco eating on warmer days, which has a pretty Garden Room and the barn overlooks a large pond, with decking that stretches over the pond edge - take a chair, relax and dream. Inside the barn is as impressive as its external surroundings in its architecture, eclectic décor and superb presentation. All the bedrooms, many of which are on the ground floor, have towelling robes, slippers and Smart TV’s. There are three en-suite bath/shower rooms, two family bath/shower rooms and one en-suite cloakroom. The seven bedrooms are sumptuously presented, each with their own character. Aslacton is a small, south Norfolk, rural hamlet set in lush countryside and farmland. Peaceful and quiet and a world away from the everyday rush of life, it offers lovely walking and cycling country under the huge skies Norfolk is so famous for. The bustling market town of Diss is 20 minutes away and offers golf, fishing lakes and swimming. If some of your party are coming by train there is also a mainline station in the town. If you want to fly free as a bird take yourself off to Tibenham Gliding Club for a trial flight or lesson, only half a mile away but another world away in terms of an experience! The city of Norwich is a half hour drive for culture, cafes, fine dining and retail therapy – make a day of it and go to the cinema before coming home. The charming town of Bungay on the Norfolk/Suffolk borders is worth a visit with the Earsham Street end of the town showcasing good delicatessens, antique haunts and a great café with a pretty garden to eat out in when the weather allows. The Broads are less than 45 minutes away and make another lovely day out with over 125 miles of waterway networks to explore and if the coast beckons you can be there in an hour – the beaches on the east coast are sandy, spectacular and often underpopulated even in the summer.

Reviews

Lovely, warm, beautiful property which had a a homely feel. We instantly felt comfortable and had a wonderful time.

Anne Reeve,

The Granary at Aslacton is an exceptional property with perfect accommodation for 14 people in 7 beautifully appointed rooms!

Mr Peter Bowman,

Absolutely ideal for an extended family gathering. A lot of thought had gone into the decor and the layout. We were 14 in number including 5 children aged 1 -13 years and a travel cot and highchair were provided. The additional facilities of a tennis court and the hot-tub just added to the family atmosphere. The owners were very approachable. One of the best self-catering properties we have stayed in of any size. Even in February the heating was more than adequate!

Mrs Jose Gibbs,

The property was exceptional, comfortable, spacious and to a very high standard. We were a party of 10 and all loved it. The outside area was beautiful, we enjoyed the walks, tennis, hot tub and sitting by the pond. The isolation and peacefulness was wonderful.

Miss Lydia Tubero,
