Wherry Cottage is a newly renovated property close to Womack Staithe, one of a row of similar cottages that are part of a conversion of the former maltings. An ideal cottage for couples who like the countryside with opportunities for bird watching, fishing and walking right on the door step, if you have small children there are bunk beds available on request. The small enclosed courtyard is a sunny spot to relax in and there are views over open countryside and the staithe from the property and communal garden. The historic city of Norwich is only a 30 minute drive away or a short drive takes you to one of the many beautiful east coast beaches, making Wherry Cottage the ideal base for a holiday sampling the delights of Norfolk’s beautiful coastline and countryside. Ludham is a lovely Broadland village nestling on the banks of the River Thurne with an impressive flint church, village store, public house, and tea room. Womack Staithe is a short stroll from the village and is the home base for the Heritage Sailing Fleet so you may see the now fully restored wherry the Albion. The staithe is also a super spot to enjoy a picnic and the area is great for walking, explore the newly opened route between St Benets and How Hill which follows an ancient path used by the monks of St Benets Abbey a great opportunity to immerse yourself in the beautiful and unique landscape of The Broads.
