Self-catering cottages with fishing facilities on-site or nearby in the Norfolk Broads

Indulge in a holiday to one of our Norfolk Broads holiday cottages with fishing facilities for a relaxing retreat. The Norfolk Broads boast 125 miles of waterways including tranquil rivers and lakes, home to a variety of fish such as pike, perch, chub, rudd, bream, roach and tench, making the best fishing spots easily accessible. Our fishing cottages ensure enjoyable holidays; we have beautifully appointed self-catering holiday homes and cosy accommodation that is tailored for families, romantic breaks or fishing trips with friends. Spend the evenings together relaxing, or plan your next spot for fishing. The Norfolk Broads offer an array of activities aside from fishing, including water sports, walking, cycling and historical sites to visit. Spend an afternoon exploring the nearby villages and market towns or stop in a welcoming pub for a drink and chat with the locals.

Once you have your licence, you’re ready to go fishing in the Broads. There is a wide selection of stunning locations for those of all abilities to enjoy fishing Potter Heigham is known to be an excellent spot for beginners, as is Salhouse Broad which is just 8 miles from the thriving city of Norwich. Wroxham, also known as the capital of the Broads, has an extensive water network and is therefore perfect for a boat trip or angling from the river banks. Freshwater fishing can be done on the Ant, Bure, Chet and Thume rivers during the fishing season from June to March. There’s also the opportunity to try offshore fishing by the coast at Wells-next-the-Sea, where you can catch cod, bass and mackerel.
