Self-catering holiday cottages in Eccles Beach

Eccles Beach is a wonderful, popular coastal village, found between Sea Palling and Happisburgh; it is an ideal spot for a peaceful, relaxing retreat or getaway with all the family. The fine beach here is a sandy stretch, especially popular with dog walkers as there are no restrictions during the summer months.

Although you can enjoy all that the coast has on offer, you are still only 4miles away from Stalham, known for being “the Gateway to the Broads.” Just a few miles inland is also Hickling, the largest Broadland village set on the River Thurne with a fantastic wildlife reserve, stunning walking trails and a haven for wildlife all year round. Why not hire a boat or canoe for the day to discover the Norfolk Broads at its best?

The village pub and shops of Sea Palling are about a mile away, plus the city of Norwich with its cathedral, castle, shopping centres, traditional market, theatres, cinemas, and a large selection of eateries is only 18 miles away. For great family days out, you can visit BeWilderwood, an outdoor adventure park where adults are encouraged to play alongside their children in the land of Boggles and Twiggles! Wroxham Barns is another great spot, ideal for younger children with an animal farm and play area. Or how about Thrigby Wildlife Gardens? This great day out is where you can discover an array of birds, primates, reptiles and small mammals. Not forgetting the tiger tree walk; high above the tiger enclosure, you can get a bird's eye view of these stunning creatures – although it's not recommended for the faint-hearted!

Book your Eccles Beach cottage and plan your next UK getaway to the North Norfolk coast.
