Holt has a lovely range of local shops, a small independent supermarket, plenty of tea rooms, and restaurants offering locally sourced produce. Catch a steam or diesel train along the Poppy Line, a coastal track which visits Weybourne (9 miles) and Sheringham (12 miles). Many of the most wonderful beaches are within a short drive of the barn, go to Wells-next-the-Sea (14 miles) and walk along the quay or visit the vast sandy beach.
