Delight in a sumptuous stay at this splendid barn conversion, close to Edgefield in North Norfolk. Sleeping six guests, the three-bedroom getaway is 3.5 miles from Holt and 7.5 miles from the beach at Salthouse. With a wood burner for chilly days and a BBQ for long summer lunches, this exquisitely finished holiday home takes in country views and sits in beautiful gardens with a wildflower meadow.

Step inside the impressive brick and flint property, which dates back to the 1700s, and find yourself wowed by its interior. From the generous reception hall, wander through to the lounge to stoke up the wood burner, choose a game or find your favourite film on the Smart TV. Open the double doors through to the dining room to find additional comfortable seating, as well as a table for jolly holiday meals. Pull the doors in here open so you can step out into the garden on warm days. The sizeable kitchen, which has a central island and breakfast bar, is well equipped to help you cater for your party. There is also a WC downstairs. A king-size bedroom, with en-suite shower room, a super-king that can also be arranged with 3’ twins if discussed at booking, and a standard twin room are all on the first floor, together with the family bathroom. Spill out into the garden on fine days to play outdoor games, soak up the sunshine and gaze out across your surroundings. There is parking here for three cars.

Head into Holt to browse in the shops, dine out in pubs and restaurants serving local produce and catch a heritage steam train along the North Norfolk Railway to Sheringham. Make a day trip to Blakeney, 8.5 miles away, to walk or take a boat ride out to see the seals.

Lovely barn with very good hall and living room space. Bedrooms were also spacious and bed very comfortable. Good kitchen with lots of utensils. Nice welcome pack too. The location is great, down a quiet lane but close to Holt and the coastline.

Plane Tree Barn is a lovely property a short drive from the beautiful Georgian town of Holt. The property is very spacious and well appointed. The beds were all very comfortable and the area is very quiet and peaceful so we all slept well. The drive is shared with the neighbouring property but there is ample parking space for a number of cars.
