A stylishly presented two-bedroom cottage ideal for a small family or couples, situated just a short stroll from the heart of the hugely sought-after Georgian market town of Holt.

Less than 200 metres from the centre of town, this stylish cottage is the perfect place for a small family or party of friends to experience a high-end holiday in sought-after Holt. Ideally located for day trips to North Norfolk’s fabulous coastline, it comes complete with characterful interiors, parking and a pet-friendly garden.

Holt’s reputation as a destination for the discerning is due largely to its Georgian architecture and range of cafes, bars, boutiques, galleries and antique shops. Just a short distance from the hustle and bustle, this elegant holiday abode offers a quieter pace of life. Step through the front door and you’re straight into a welcoming lounge, with a choice of comfortable seating, a Smart TV and an ornamental fireplace. Beyond, the bold-coloured kitchen has all the essentials of home, while the adjacent dining area is a great gathering place – open the patio doors and you can step straight into the garden. The stairs are off a separate dining room; when it’s time to retire, head up to the first floor and you’ll find the master king-size bedroom and a single room, both with ample storage space. A family bathroom with a roll-top bath and separate shower is also on this floor; a steep second staircase leads to the loft room that has a double bed and bespoke wardrobes. The outside space here is a bonus in such a central location. To the rear, there’s an enclosed garden with a gravelled patio area, lawn, outdoor furniture and BBQ.

Wander into town, enjoy a walk at nearby Holt Country Park, or hop on the dog-friendly North Norfolk Railway to Sheringham, 7.5 miles away – the popular resort has a lovely beach and a fine choice of shops and eateries. In quiet contrast, Blakeney’s tidal creek and ancient quay are just 5.5 miles away; well-behaved dogs are welcome on the boats that transport visitors to Blakeney Point, home to a thriving seal population.

  • 3 bedrooms – 1 king-size, 1 double and 1 single (Sleeps 4+1) Please note the double bedroom is a loft room with fairly sleep stairs

The location of this cottage is brilliant as is the totally enclosed rear garden. Everything works, apart from the TV, which appeared not to support any normal channels, ie BBC etc. it's a shame that the cottage inside is a bit tired and needs some tlc. Everything looks as if it was bought at a car boot sale. Could do with a really good clean, espeRead morecilally the kitchen , the kettle was chock a block with limes ale and took a lot of rinsing before it could be used. Oven had nasty spills in it Hide

Lovely cottage in an ideal location. Safe and relaxing garden and well equipped kitchen. The Post Office Depot is noisy in the early morning but this is well explained in the house details before booking and it adds to the charm of the location.

This cottage is in a brilliant location, just around the corner from the main st of Holt. It is opposite a Post office sorting office. There is a small amount of noise early in the morning, lorry noise, shouting. But it isn't enough to annoy you. We were 2 adults and a dog. If it was a family I would be concerned about the attic room with the very Read moresteep staircase access. I certainly wouldn't have children up there. All constructive criticism. I would certainly use this cottage again. Hide

Very spacious, clean cottage with comfortable bed and safe enclosed garden - perfect for our dog. Ideal central location as although high street is only a few minutes walk away, it is a lovely quiet spot. Holt is a lovely interesting town to explore and has many fish and chip shops, Chinese, Indian takeaways and pubs if you don't want to cook. The Read morecottage is an ideal base to explore North Norfolk coastline, with Holkham beach, Sheringham, Cromer etc, all within easy reach. Hide
