Thornham is a quiet picturesque village that forms part of the conservation area on the North West Norfolk Coast. There is a wide sandy beach and a small harbour, both of which form part of a local nature reserve. There are some excellent pub/restaurants in the village one of which won Good Pub Guide's Dining Pub of the Year 2017. The coastal town of Hunstanton is just four miles away, it has a sandy beach and many attractions for children. The Coast Hopper bus can take you to Wells, the RSPB reserve at Titchwell and villages including Brancaster and Burnham Market, an excellent opportunity to leave the car behind and enjoy the scenery.
We spent a lovely week here, including the Easter weekend. Great cottage with everything we needed and amazing treats. Lots of walking & beaches with perfect sunshine.
Thank you for letting us stay in your home. The welcome pack was a lovely touch and the doggies really appreciated the treats ! Great location to explore, dog walks, beaches and the pubs. Will definitely be back !
Fabulous week, weather gorgeous, grandchildren had a great time exploring the local beaches along with Oscar their dog. Lovely cosy house - all in all an excellent time.
Fantastic cottage and weather. Beautiful beaches, lovely pub grub
Had a wonderful time in Norfolk yet again - we love this area. We enjoyed exploring around Thornham with its three pubs for us to enjoy. Weather was warm but had high winds but had a great time regardless. Thank you
Blissful Norfolk - we had a brilliant stay as always
Wonderful to be back! We have missed the Old Garage - always our favourite holiday home. We have had a really relaxing holiday and made the most of the heatwave.
We have had a mega week with v.high temperatures - up to 35! Ending today with thunderstorms and heavy rain. We have fitted in Sea World, Bircham Windmill (great visit!) Dinosaur world and many trips to the beach to make "sand villages" Your home makes a brilliant base. Everything here that we could possibly need. Many thanks.
The Old Garage was a lovely place to stay, and Thornham itself is a lovely village, the Deli is great for breakfasts, and the Lifeboat Inn and Chequers pub are well worth a visit also. Dinner at The Orange Tree is also recommended!
We have had a lovely week in your beautiful house, even on the cloudy days. It was my first time in North Norfolk and we be back for sure. Thornham is a lovely village, The Deli breakfasts are highly recommended.
