This character brick and flint cottage started life nearly two hundred years ago as two farm workers cottages. It has recently undergone a major refurbishment designed to bring it into the 21st century while retaining its period features and charm. The rear garden provides a secluded relaxing space for outside dining and cooking on the BBQ, while the front garden overlooks the picturesque village pond. The Duck, an award winning pub, is only a short hop, skip and a jump away, great for days when you decide not to cook, however with the super new kitchen and spacious dining room you may not want to leave the comfort of your holiday home. Just four miles from the elegant Georgian village of Burnham Market, take your time to explore the independent shops, boutiques and cafes that surround the village green. The coast is only a few miles away and is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, it is a great area for walking and RSPB Titchwell is a birdwatchers paradise, there are unspoilt wide, sandy beaches and Norfolk’s huge skies are beautiful whatever the weather. This stretch of the coastline also offers some of the best eateries in Norfolk, visit Brancaster, Thornham, Titchwell and Old Hunstanton, you will be spoilt for choice.
Thank you for a superb cottage in a peaceful village, which was an excellent base for exploring local nature reserves, woods and beaches in the northwest of Norfolk. Huddling in the dunes or in a hide with coffee, muffins and binoculars was just what we needed for a digital detox. Even the autumn showers didn't spoil things! Your hamper of locally produced goodies went down a treat too.
Loved it. Delighted with everything. Lovely well-equipped cottage in a perfect location. Thoroughly enjoyed our Norfolk experience - despite the October weather!
Top class in all aspects required for a great holiday. Many thanks to all concerned.
