Heacham cottages
Heacham is a bustling little village situated on the North Norfolk coastline. It has two sandy beaches, designated as North and South. The North beach has a wide promenade behind with beach huts. The South beach is a much wider sandy beach and is backed by sand dunes. Truly wonderful sunsets are seen here due to the wide open skies and the shallow waters at low tide reflecting the sun.
Heacham is also home to Norfolk Lavender, a great day out where you can enjoy the world famous lavender gardens, lavender oil distillery, national lavender collection and herb garden. They have also opened a landscaped meadow garden and fascinating animal farm, which is home to a range of unusual creatures from all corners of the globe. There are a number of excellent RSPB reserves in area including Titchwell, Snettisham and Holme.
Three miles away you will find the popular seaside town of Hunstanton – a great spot to keep the children entertained with its long sandy beach, fairground rides, oasis swimming pool and sea-life centre.
Regular buses throughout the year run from Heacham to the market & sea port town of Kings Lynn, which is around thirteen miles away – enjoy a superb mix of history, shopping and entertainment in this vibrant town.
Heacham is also holiday spot well served with shops and is close to many pubs and restaurants including the Michelin stared Neptune Inn in Old Hunstanton, which is well worth a visit.
