A great house for families, friends, extended families and close to all local amenities, The Old Methodist Chapel is a truly spacious and comfortable holiday nest set at the heart of one of the most popular north-west Norfolk coastal villages. The building has been sympathetically converted and features vaulted ceilings, oak beams and original stained glass windows. The impressive, double height downstairs living room and equally large kitchen/dining room have a generous sized wood burner and an open fire respectively, for keeping cosy on colder days. The ground floor also has 2 bedrooms, a family bathroom and cloakroom. The attractive and wide spiral wrought iron staircase, takes you to the galleried landing on the first floor where 2 further bedrooms, one with an En-suite shower room and a family bathroom are situated. The garden leading off the living room, is in a sunny position and is the perfect spot to relax after days out exploring this great part of Norfolk. Heacham is a thriving coastal village with two great beaches, nominated north and south (that actually face west!) and affords world class, beautiful sunsets all year round. The flat sands and calm waters are a magnet for fans of kite flying, kite surfing, jet skiing, windsurfing and other outdoor pursuits and with a wide bay of nearly 20 miles, there is room for everyone. With plenty of local shops, pubs and restaurants, Heacham is also home to the famous Norfolk Lavender Farm, which includes a great farm shop showcasing local produce. Along the coast find Hunstanton and Old Hunstanton where the eye catching cliffs are a great spot for fossil hunting and rock pooling and local golf is on hand. The RSPB reserves at Titchwell and Snettisham are close by and attract bird watchers year round but particularly in the autumn & winter months when many birds migrate to this part of Norfolk. Becoming known as the Royal coast, don't forget a visit to the Royal Estate at Sandringham and the old historic quarter at King's Lynn is well worth visiting.
Beautiful property. Good location. Considering the size and high ceiling of the lounge, it was very cosy. Particularly liked the Christmas tree. With four/five cars to cater for we were concerned about possible issues with parking, but it was never a problem.
We booked The Old Methodist church to celebrate my mums 70th. It was perfect. The space was fantastic and it was lovely to have the log burner and open fire making the property very homely. Home owner was very helpful, would definitely recommend to family and friends and hope to return very soon
Large character former chapel with spacious living room and kitchen. Superbly equipped kitchen with open fire in corner for those winter days. Galleried double height sitting room with plenty of seating adding to the ambience. Small enclosed, sun trap garden. One allocated parking space but on street parking easily available. Plenty of books, dvds and children's toys to keep you occupied if it's raining - luckily not needed by us.
It is lovely and spacious with a fab kitchen!
