Brancaster is a popular coastal village on the beautiful North Norfolk Coast. Designated an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the majority of the coastline is managed by The National Trust and has one of the best beaches in North Norfolk. The area is perfect for cycling, walking, riding, bird watching, or just relaxing. There's lots to see and do locally; enjoy a stroll along the Peddars Way; for the adventurous, appreciate a variety of water sports available with the area being popular with sailors, kite and wind surfers. Why not visit the village tennis courts and enjoy a game or two with friends or pop on the coast hopper and explore the stunning coastline. Ornithologists can spot many rare bird-life and often birds of prey with excellent bird watching available at the bird reserve at Titchwell or why not visit the RSPB reserve at Snettisham, just a few miles along the coast. There are many coastal paths to discover and plenty of stops along the way to enjoy a refreshing beverage or a spot of lunch. Kittiwake cottage is a stone’s throw from the village shop and post office and a short walk from the Ship Inn, one of the “Flying Kiwi” Inns, serving excellent food. Other gorgeous well known eateries are in nearby Brancaster Staithe, enjoy lunch on the large veranda at The White Horse watching the ebb and flow of the tide or a visit to the Jolly Sailors with a wonderful pub garden, perfect on summer days.
