Just a mile away and, in the heart of the village, you will find a super pub, the Carpenters Arms; with a selection of real ales ‘on tap’ and great food sourced from local farmers and fishermen. The nearby village of Binham has a local store and garage; popular with visitors to the area as well as locals with ‘raw milk’ that can be purchased at Abbey Farm Dairy, don’t forget your recycling bottle! Just ten minutes drive is the beautiful seaside town of Wells-next-the-Sea, popular all year round especially for crabbing on the Quayside, or enjoy a drink and a crepe on the Albatros, one of the oldest sailing shops still afloat and permanently moored alongside the Quay.
Beach lovers can enjoy a gentle stroll to the impressive beach taking in the views of the harbour mouth, you might even spot one of the common grey seals that frequent the coastline. The multi-coloured beach huts are a must see and are nestled adjacent to the woodland backdrop, why not venture a little further with the soft sand underfoot and discover the vast beaches of Holkham taking in the wonderful sea air. Cycling enthusiasts can explore the area on two wheels, with cycle hire available ‘on-site’ through the owners of ‘On Yer Bike’, Norfolk Cycle Hire - nothing could be easier.

Lovely accommodation. Very versatile for older guests. Easy trip to surrounding villages. Really enjoyed Howell's shop in Binham.
